According to Tony, the team needed something that was easy to integrate and didn’t require extensive technical expertise for installation. Lithionics’ plug-and-play battery systems immediately stood out, offering a simple, “snap together” integration that streamlined the assembly process. As Tony explains, it allowed their team to “pop a battery in” without specialized expertise, making it ideal for production and quick installations.

Tony pointed to Lithionics’ smart alternator as a standout feature. “The alternator’s ability to rapidly recharge at normal idle speeds made a huge difference,” he explains. Lithionics’ stackable battery enclosures also proved to be a game-changer. “The fact that the enclosures could support the weight of another battery saved us money on support systems,” Tony notes. This design also allowed for better space optimization, a crucial consideration in van builds.

The industry trend towards 48V systems is another factor that Remote Vans has embraced. “48V systems reduce heat in the wiring and allow for thinner wires,” Tony says, highlighting how the increased efficiency of these systems enhances overall performance. For example, their use of a 48V air conditioner, which doesn’t require an inverter, further improves system reliability and efficiency.
